Contest Rules, Terms and Conditions

• All entries must be submitted by October 1, 2007 to be eligible. Winners, as determined by the judges, will be announced on October 9, 2007.
• Entries must adhere to the following stylistic, thematic and technical conditions and requirements:
  • Must be humorous and funny – any form of comedic expression that meets all other requirements noted herein.
  • Themed for temporary staffing, recruiting or businesses and/or services related to the staffing and recruiting of personnel for business: Staffing and/or recruiting problem and/or nightmares, challenge or outlandish solution to staffing and recruiting problem, issue or task(s).
  • Must be G or PG-rated.
  • Submitted in .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, MPEG and .MP4 video formats (320x240 or 640x480 resolution) with a maximum file size of 10 MB.
  • Maximum 2 minutes in length.
  • Optional: End with tagline, “COOL!”
• Entry submission categories and prizes offered:
• Entry category: Staffing & Recruiting firms and Related Staffing/Recruiting Industry Businesses.
• First prize: $1,000
• Second prize: $500
• Third prize: $250
• Entry category: VCG Staff and “Friends & Family”.
• First prize: $500
• Second prize: $250
• Third prize: $100
• VCG reserves the right to reduce the number, change the type of prizes awarded, or cancel the judging entirely based on the number of entries received that meet the contest rules, terms and conditions.
• Agree to the following terms and conditions:
  • VCG allows entrants to submit video or other material for the purpose of hosting, sharing, and/or publishing of such submissions at its sole determination and discretion. You shall be solely responsible for your own submissions and the consequences of VCG posting or publishing them. In connection with your submissions, you affirm/warrant that:
    • you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to use and authorize VCG to use all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights in and to all submissions to enable inclusion and use of the submissions in the manner contemplated by these terms of service; and you have the written consent, release, and/or permission of each and every identifiable person in the submission to use the name or likeness of each individual for use in your submissions in the manner contemplated by these terms of service. You retain all of your ownership rights in your submissions. However, you irrevocably grant to VCG, its affiliates, licensees, successors and assignees a perpetual worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the submission in connection with the VCG website and/or its business.
    • You further agree that you will not:
      • submit material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material and to grant VCG all of the license rights granted herein;
      • publish falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage VCG or any third party;
      • submit material that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate;
      • post advertisements or solicitations of business;
      • impersonate another person;
      • submit adult-oriented material
  VCG does not endorse any user submission, and expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with entrant submissions. VCG does not permit copyright infringing activities or infringement of intellectual property rights or for any other business purpose, and will promptly and without prior notice remove all content and entrant submissions if properly notified of infringements on third party's intellectual property rights.
